Hello! I'm Mehmet Firez, an industrial engineering graduate living in Germany. Today, I want to share with you a transformative experience that has shaped my life. It all began when I decided to enroll in a cyber security course based on a friend's recommendation. Little did I know that this decision would open up a whole new world of possibilities for me. In this blog post, I'll take you through my journey of self-discovery and professional growth in the field of cybersecurity.

Discovering a New Path
Starting off with little knowledge and experience, I embarked on this training program that pushed me out of my comfort zone. One of the greatest sources of motivation throughout this journey was having supportive friends by my side, all of whom have achieved remarkable success through the cybersecurity training we received. The quality of the course exceeded our expectations, and the opportunity to engage in one-on-one interactions with instructors proved to be a significant advantage.

Unleashing my Potential
The course not only provided me with a solid foundation but also guided me on where to begin and how to improve myself. My initial hope turned into rapid progress and impressive growth that I never anticipated. With a background in industrial engineering, I decided to explore new horizons as there was no equivalent profession in Germany. Thanks to this course, I acquired a new set of skills and currently operate in two different professions.

Building Strong Foundations
The knowledge of programming languages and algorithm logic acquired during the course has proven to be invaluable. In particular, the Java education laid a strong infrastructure for those stepping into the business world. Having instructors who actively work in the cybersecurity sector was an immense advantage, as their real-world experience and success stories instilled faith in our own abilities.

Skills for Success
Throughout the course, we learned to work with industry-standard tools like JIRA, providing us with practical skills that are in high demand. Additionally, the mentoring sessions and IP field courses were vital for our development. However, this learning journey is an ongoing process, and it is essential to continually improve our skills. Even after starting job applications, the training process continues, giving us a competitive advantage in the job search process.

A Turning Point
Immediately after completing the course, I began applying for jobs, and after about three months, I received a job offer. This period of self-discovery allowed me to better understand my strengths and evaluate job postings more effectively. The training and certifications we obtained significantly boosted our self-confidence. Landing the job was a major turning point, and the excitement I felt was beyond words.

Holistic Growth
The SDET course not only enhanced my technical skills but also provided guidance on how to succeed in the business world. We had the opportunity to improve our communication and teamwork skills, as well as receive training in project management, which we could apply in our daily work. The invaluable mentoring we received from our teachers, as well as learning from experienced professionals in the industry, added immense value to our learning journey.

My journey into SDET has been a remarkable one, filled with personal and professional growth.
